Welcome to Line of Departure
Line of Departure is a military term used to describe the place where a force assembles and prepares its people in order to penetrate enemy territory. It is seen as a line on a map, showing the boundary where they will meet in unity around their common objective and move out together to pursue it.
Jesus crossed his Line of Departure when he departed the comfort of heaven and entered into the world through Mary’s womb. His objective—to make disciples.
Likewise, every church that would follow Christ must meet at and cross its Line of Departure, entering into the world. The aim is to make disciples of Jesus.
